Focus House : Honesty

We are super excited to have great discussion on Friday during Boy's Talk. We focus on our word of the day, "Honesty" and what that meant to the boys in school and at home. We spoke on our rules, peace riots, and life skills. We had the boys stand up and make a foot step toward moving forward and collaborating together.

We are amped about the boys Looking good for "Feel Good Mondays". This is a small part of manners and feeling good about the way you look and act in school.

Donate a Tie to Boy's Talk

Here at Community Charter School Boy's Talk Mentoring Program,  we have a culture on Monday its called "Look Good Mondays", where all the boys wear a tie on Monday. We feel the if a young male wears a tie on Monday it will make them feel good about themselves, build strong leadership  and allow them to start that week feeling good about the rest of week.

One thing we are lacking are our the ties, most of our young men doesn't have a tie and we are asking for you to dontae a tie to help us maintain our culture having our boys to Look Good on Monday. ReCap Focus Word: Honesty

Last Friday during the Boy's Talk, Mr. Murray and Mr. CJ conducted the mentoring sessions.

Focus Word: Honesty, Fairness and straightforwardness of conduct.

We reviewed our Rule;
1. No Fighting, 
2. No Bullying, 
3. No Yelling and Swearing.

We also spoke in our round table talks, was hand shakes, Giving a firm handshake and looking into each eyes as form of respect. Along with Respect, giving others respect and Chivlary, opening doors for people.  

Please have your sons with a tie on to school on Monday for "Looking Good Monday". If we are asking for anyone to donate a tie for our boys that may not able to get a tie, please send a tie or donate up $5 to http://www.communitycharter.org  for sets of tie, long and short regular ties, bowties. We will be show the boys how to tie a tie so please help us to teach the male of tomorrow.

Also we are planning our first trip very soon. Looking for Male Volunteers or Moms to help out and being apart of the activities.
